Greetings from Hickory Corner!
Happy summer to you all. Summer began Tuesday, June 21. It has felt like summer already for awhile as we have had some of the hottest days already. “Forget about frying an egg on the sidewalk; with this kind of heat, you could fry an egg in the chicken.” Oh well, all you who work outside take your water jug along with you and stay safe. I have been staying home quite a bit out of the heat.
Someone left a bag on at my door this past Sunday. What a nice surprise for me. It has fresh ripened tomatoes, squash and cucumbers. I do not know for sure who left it, but I have an idea. Thank you. I sure enjoyed it all. Sometimes I wish I had a little garden, but then I think, “Nope, too much work. My garden days are over.”
Birthday wishes go out to Erma Lee Morris on Sunday, June 26. I heard she will celebrate her birthday with a party at Bonice Martin’s home. Happy birthday Erma Lee. I hope that you have a great day and that the year ahead is full of many blessings.
My sister-in-law Ellna Patterson Roland visited me Sunday. She and I went and visited Mary Patterson, and we all had a good chat.
