with Dot Patterson

Greetings from Hickory Corner!
Monday was a beautiful day. It was a little windy, but the sun was shining. I had to get out of the house, so Ruger and I went on our daily walk. He is still on medication not as active, but he is 13 years old. He was nine months old when we adopted him and he is a good boy and sweet boy.
Shout out to Ellna Patterson Roland who has been very busy making flower arrangements to put on graves of loved ones for Decoration Day. She has been doing this for many years, and it is quite the job, but she loves doing it. She does a wonderful job putting together beautiful arrangements. Ellna decorates 21 graves at Cave Springs Cemetery, eight graves at Woodville Cemetery and also three at Ridgecrest in Jackson.
Decoration Day at Cave Springs Church is Sunday, May 14, which is also Mother’s Day. About Mother’s Day…it is a perfect time to give thanks and reflect on your mother. In Honor of Mother’s Day, I ask that you call me and share a favorite memory of your mother. This could be a short story, a tradition, something funny, a favorite recipe or anything you would like to share with our readers. Regardless of whether your dear mother has passed or you are lucky enough to still have her with you, please take time to call me. I hope to hear from many of you.
Thanks to JoAnn Clayton for the mess of greens from her garden. They made my supper so much better.
Please remember in prayer Ladelle Clark, Mildred Smith, Martha Autry, Ann Morrison, Bonice Martin, Peggy Whitman, Peggy Lard, William and Eddie Luttrell and Donna Lynch. Continue to pray for each other, our country and our world. If you would like to add or remove a name from our prayer list, please call me. I do not like to add/remove a name without permission.
If you would like to rent the HCC Center for a special event, please call Nancy Patterson at 608-1159.
Without your news, it is difficult to write this article. Please call me with tidbits and news at 989-3315. You can share vacations, birthdays, anniversaries, memories, and much more. I look forward to hearing from you.
Make it a great week
