Greetings to all! Don’t you just love the sweet smell of spring? The temperature Monday was up in the 80s, and the warm sunshine felt so good. It is the perfect time to do yard work or to start planting a garden. I have not had a garden for a few years, actually since I had a heat stroke while working in my garden and ended up in the hospital. I miss the fresh vegetables, but gardening is hard work. Last year, I planted a few tomato plants in flower pots and may do that again this year. We will see.
Easter Sunday was a beautiful sunshiny day. It was a great day for an Easter egg hunt. My neighbor, JoAnn Clayton, had a total of 63 on Easter for a huge Easter egg hunt. Her front yard was full of kids running and searching for hidden eggs. Even the egg hiders were having fun.
Do we ever get too old for an Easter basket? I say absolutely not. My son Greg is here visiting, and on Easter morning, he hid an Easter basket and had me hunt for it. It did not take me long to find it, and, boy, was it filled with lots of sweet goodies. Thanks to my daughter-in-law, Janice, for sending it to me. Greg and I are enjoying our time together. He has been busy doing yard work and other chores. He took me out for Easter dinner, and we have done a little running around.
