Montezuma has bragging rights to acknowledge a born and raised female of the Cooper Family. Mandy Cooper Futch competed in the Southern Discomfort Endurance Run in Albany, Ga., on Aug. 8. She ran 30 miles in six hours and took FIRST PLACE in her division. We are all proud of you and the endurance you continue to display with your running endeavors. Way to go, Mandy!
I would like to brag on Jack Hornbeak, my youngest grandson. He is a first grader at West Chester Elementary and received Student of the Week. So glad he is adjusting to a new school after his recent move from Rhode Island. Keep up the good work!
With so much unrest in our Country, I pray that each of you believers will be praying continually for the situation, our government and salvation for the lost.
Montezuma sends out happy birthday wishes to Reba Croom on Aug. 28, Raven Croom on Aug. 29, Kathy Geary on Aug. 31 and Danny Thomas on Sept. 2.
Montezuma sends out happy anniversary wishes to Marvin and Linda Jones on Sept. 3.
Please continue to pray for Charles Beacham, Kristen Daniel, Linda Tacker, Buck Burkhead, Faye Crouse, Nancy Thomas, Ed and Betty Morris, Ann Morrison, our country and our government. We especially want to remember the families of Merry J. Cunningham, Bobby Horn, Paulette Whitman, Mike Haithcoat, Virgil Wilkins and other families that have recently lost loved ones.
Please call Betty Cooper at 879-9078 to book the use of the community center.
