It is so hard to believe that in just a few days we will already be in November. This has been a most unusual year for everyone and will definitely go down in history to reflect upon a couple of big happenings, such as COVID-19 and a record breaking Presidential Election year. If you have not already cast your vote, be sure to visit the polls on Nov. 3. Look beyond the people and make sure you know what they stand for before you cast your ballot.
A quick note to any hunters out there that would like to have a nice dinner and auction night out, go to chestercountyducks.org website for our annual upcoming event to be held on Nov. 19. Ticket and table information is available there, or you can call me for more information.
Montezuma sends out happy birthday wishes to Janeane Moore on Oct. 29, Rebecca Morris on Oct. 30, Billy Cherry on Oct. 31, Judy Cranford on Nov. 1 and Jerry Cook and Renee Thomas on Nov. 2.
With so much unrest in our country, I pray that each of you believers will be praying continually for the situation, our government, the upcoming election and salvation for the lost. I received a phone call last Friday from Jimmy Ruth, and he requested to be added to our prayer list. He is living in a nursing home in Cordova, and if anyone would like to send him a card, please contact me for his address.
Please continue to pray for Brenda Ada, Vicki Rush, Kristen Daniel, Linda Tacker, Faye Crouse, Nancy Thomas, Ed and Betty Morris, Ann Morrison, our country and our government. Please continue to pray for those dealing with COVID-19 for healing and for families coping with the loss of loved ones that have suffered with it. We especially want to remember the families of Kathryn Harwell Eldridge, Edith Faris, Jerry Ada, Judy Jean Rounsaville and other families that have recently lost loved ones.
Please call Betty Cooper at 879-9078 to book the use of the community center.
