Here we are. Almost one month of 2021 has passed, and so much has already changed in our lives.
We have a new president who is making some drastic changes quickly, and it is going to be a very interesting four years to say the least. We will probably be on a roller coaster ride for the times ahead and the changes that are taking place. We should all be soul searching to what is right and what is wrong. I will continue to stand on the word of God and do my best to live a Christian life and speak out against evil and stand up for what I believe is right.
Please continue to pray daily for all those affected by COVID and their families. Chester County has definitely felt the bite from it, but if everyone continues to do their part in mask wearing, hand sanitizing, social distancing and holding small gatherings or just seeing immediate family, we will hopefully get through this before too much longer. I am past ready to for our lives to get back to a more normal state, and I am sure all of you are, too!
Montezuma sends out happy birthday wishes to Ray Wells and Madison Cook on Jan. 29, Margot Cox on Jan. 31, Garrett Hathcock on Feb. 2 and Emmarie Phelps on Feb. 3.
With so much unrest in our country, I pray that each of you believers will be praying continually for the situation, our government and salvation for the lost. Please pray for Donna Lynch, Donald Smith, Rita Weaver, Mary Morgan Robinson, Elaine Patterson, Jimmy Ruth, Mary Lou Weir Warren, Wayne Monks, Sr., Brenda Ada, Vicki Rush, Kristen Daniel, Faye Crouse, Nancy Thomas, Ed and Betty Morris, Ann Morrison, healthcare workers and law enforcement.
We especially want to remember the families of Leon Lofton, II, Heather Mullins, Spencer L. Goodwin and other families that have recently lost loved ones.
Please call Betty Cooper at 879-9078 to book the use of the community center.
