Stop and take the time to reflect on the time of year we are in. The holidays are a time of giving to others and remembering the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This is a time most of us think of as a happy time, but there is always someone that is suffering in ways we may never know. Reach out to others around you and let them know you are at least thinking of them and praying for them.
The next event for Cookies for Cancer will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (unless we run out early) Saturday, Dec. 14, at Cash Saver Food Store, 410 East Main Street. Cookies and candy will be handed out to those who stop by the tent, and donations that will go to the American Cancer Society will be accepted and greatly appreciated.

Please be in prayer for Nancy Thomas, A J Sutberry, Ed and Betty Morris, Evie Lee Sanders, families of the recent shootings and families that may not be able to be together for various reasons. Please be in prayer for the families of Thelma L. Hemby, Rickey Hearn, Bill Latham, Bettye Steed and other families that have recently lost loved ones.
