Hello everyone! Time just slips away, and we had to turn our writings in by noon on Friday. Our next article will be after Christmas. I hope everyone has a good Christmas and they remember the true meaning of Christmas. I also wish each of you a blessed New Year.
We went to see Shadrack’s Christmas lights in Jackson with some of our church members. We enjoyed the lights and the trip and appreciate Steve Priddy for driving our bus again. We also are having our Christmas program Sunday night at 5:30 p.m. with a potluck meal afterwards at Friendship Baptist Church. Please come and join us.
I hope everyone is staying well. There has been a lot of flu and stomach bugs going around. Hopefully, a few days out for Christmas will tame the illness some. Our granddaughter has been staying with us for several days, as everyone in her house has been sick with the flu or strep. We hope we avoid it. Wash your hands frequently, fist bump or elbow bump to avoid shaking hands when possible and cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough.
Happy birthday to Leon Carroll, Dec. 22; Nona Seaton, Dec. 24; Jimmy Priddy, Dec. 25; and Mickey Dyer, Brooklyn Davidson, Norris McCaskill and John Butler, Dec. 27.
Happy Anniversary to Sarah and Don McLemore, Dec. 22, and Amy and Chad Lofton, Dec. 27.
Please continue to remember these in prayer Andrew Acred, Lynn Allen, Jerry Bain, George and Marie Bishop, Charlie Brewer, David Brewer, Maverick Butler, Leon Carroll, Billy Dickson, Ann Hinson, Danny Jones, Lee Nell King, Sarah McLemore, Nancy McCaskill, Owen McKinney, Myra McKinley, Andy Maness, Nancy Morris, Billy Neal Priddy, Pam Priddy, James Reddin, Donald Rowlett, Dalton Seratt, Adam Wise and Trey Young. Also, please pray for our military, law enforcement, our country and its leaders and first responders. There are many sick and hurting. Please say a prayer for those. Even if you do not know their name, God does.
“Babe” by Diane Ranker Riesen – “Welcome Sweet Jesus – the smallest of Kings/Who sleeps in a manger while God’s angels sing/You will be our Savior…the greatest of ‘Man’/Who’ll save us from evil, and be cleansed again!”
I pray you all have a wonderful week, and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please call me at 983-0718 or email mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
