Hello to all from our little corner of the world. The skies were cloudy, and there was no breeze noted on Sunday with the temperature being 67 degrees. The forecast will be chillier the first half of the week, and the last half should average in the 70s. No rain is forecasted until Tuesday, Oct. 25.
We had a very good rain earlier in the week; in fact, it poured down here, and I think everyone has been hoping for some rain. We also had some rain last night. Leaves are beginning to change and fall. We are mainly seeing our blackhat chickadee and an occasional female cardinal.
I had a BIG treat while shopping last week. I was in Cash Savers and ran into Joie Freeman. We talked for a good while. She looked good, but after not seeing her for a long time, I almost did not recognize her. She had some extensive illness and drives mainly in town. Prayers for continued healing.
I hope everyone enjoyed their fall break. I also hope you are ready to start rolling again this week with your normal routines. Stay safe and enjoy the blessings of another day and week.

“Leaves” by Elise N. Brady – “How silently they tumble down/And come to rest upon the ground/To lay a carpet, rich and rare/Beneath the trees without a care/Content to sleep, their work well done/Colors gleaming in the sun/At other times, they wildly fly/Until they nearly reach the sky/Twisting, turning through the air/Till all the trees stand stark and bare/Exhausted, drop to earth below/To wait, like children, for the snow.”
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
