Hello to all from this little corner of the world. The temperature on Sunday was 53 degrees; the skies were gray, and there was a slight breeze noted. Our mums are in pots and are still looking good. It does take water often and no frost. Our violas are growing. We are seeing deer frequently. Please be careful driving. Well, I guess many are beginning to put up Christmas trees. We will be in the next few days. The temperatures for the next 10 days are supposed to be mostly in the 50-60 range. Enjoy while we can as cold weather will return again.
I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving break. I know it was hectic for many, and some ended up being sick. The flu and strep are prominent, and COVID is still lurking. I have also heard the stomach virus is out there along with the “Tennessee Crud.” Please do not attend schools or public gatherings if you THINK you have any of the things mentioned. Wash hands frequently, carry antibacterial gel in the car and baby wipes in the car are also nice along with tissues. Sneeze into your elbow. Social distance or wear a mask. You can never be too careful and do not know what germ is waiting for you.
Happy Birthday to Doris McKinney, 11-27; Tessa Hinson, 12-2; and Kirk Bray, 12-3.
Please continue to remember these in prayer: Randy Baker, Stephanie Baker, Dana Berry, Shelia Berry, Joe Bingham, Marie Bishop, Robert and Joyce Brewer, Jackie Chambers, Pat Connor, Brenda Dudley, Martha Mainord, Adisyn Matthews, LaVelle Page, Pam Priddy, Jesse Pugh, Ann Pusser, Logan Rencher, Todd Rencher, Jake Richardson, Donald Rowlett, Dwain Seaton, Jr., Alice and Buddy Stovall, David Tucker, Tony Tucker, Adam Wise and pray for our military, law enforcement, our country and first responders.
The more we intentionally set focus on being thankful and grateful…The more we count our blessings instead of complaining about our problems…The more we realize just how MUCH we have to be thankful for. When we think about what could have been, what would have been or even what should have been…we see just how much God’s Grace and Mercy has kept us and taken care of us! Give thanks to the Lord because in spite of any issues we may encounter. GOD IS GOOD and HE IS ABLE to cause all things to work together for our good!
“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
