Hello to all from this little corner of the world. It was a cloudy-gray day on Saturday. There was no breeze, and the temperature was 44 degrees.
We still enjoy our birds and an occasional squirrel. We enjoyed a few more daffodils. I am looking forward to spring very much. I read if you have trouble with moles/voles you can dig a hole (auger that fits drill at Lowe’s is very helpful) and put pea gravel around the inside of the hole, and it deters these varmints. I sure hope it works. Rain is in the forecast off and on throughout the week. Does Mother Nature think this is April? Whatever comes, we will work with it and know that drier days are ahead. If you see Mr. Sunshine, tell him hello.
Happy birthday to Sue Lewis and Mallory Crame, 2-27; Tanner Butler, 2-28; Jim Newsom, 3-1; Dylan Dyer, 3-2; and Charlotte Webb, Sue Wiliams and Barrett Jones, 3-4.
Happy anniversary to Kathy and Charles Dyer, 3-3.
Please continue to remember these in prayer Sheila Berry, Joe Bingham, Marie Bishop, Weston Bishop, Jeanette Butler, Frances Carroll, Jackie Chambers, Nathan Frost, Shirley Kendrick, Martha Mainord, Adisyn Matthews, John Miller, Janeane Moore, David Morris, Debbie Morris, Jim Newsom, LaVelle Page, Julia Parchman, Pam Priddy, Jesse Pugh, Karon Reinmann, Logan Rencher, Todd Rencher, Jake Richardson, Dwain Seaton, Jr., Nona Seaton, Bro. “Dear Human” by Courtney A. Walsh – “Dear Human: You’ve got it all wrong/You didn’t come here to master unconditional love/That is where you came from and where you’ll return/You came here to learn personal love/Universal love. Messy love. Sweaty love/Crazy love. Broken love. Whole love/Infused with divinity. Lived through the grace of stumbling/Demonstrated through the beauty of…messing up. Often/You didn’t come here to be perfect. You already are/You came here to be gorgeously human. Flawed and fabulous/And then to rise again into remembering/But unconditional love? Stop telling that story/Love, in truth, doesn’t need ANY other adjectives/It doesn’t require modifiers/It doesn’t require the condition of perfection/It only asks that you show up. And do your best/That you stay present and feel fully/That you shine and fly and laugh and cry/and hurt and heal and fall and get back up/and play and work and live and die as YOU/It’s enough. It’s Plenty.”
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
