The sun was wonderfully warm, and there was a cool breeze at times on Saturday. The skies were light blue with puffs of grayish-white clouds. The scenery is really greening up, and our first iris came to say hello. It is our first white one. A few years ago a friend gave us a few, and it just now appeared. I do hope the others come along, too. They are planted amongst bright yellow ones from another friend. We also have some purple ones yet to bloom. I am glad. Our azaleas are budding and blooming. We have some peonies that need replanting, but since they are more fragile plants, we will wait.
The storms came in Sunday afternoon, and I pray we all were spared. Next week, the temperatures during the daytime are forecasted to be in the 60s and lows in the 30s. I hope our vegetation survives. We have had so much rain, as everyone knows. It has been difficult to get all the yard mowed. I pray everyone is staying sex feet apart and staying home as much as possible.
Easter was Sunday. It was a first for me to not go to church. We, as other churches, had a sermon online. Others can always watch a message on television. The main thing was to remember what Easter is all about. I should have written this last week. I knew it was coming, but with this quarantine, I have to look at a calendar to remember special things. Our Lord and Savior was crucified, and on the third day, He arose. Praise the Lord for saving us from our sins. He went through more than any human will ever go through. Yes, He was human here on earth, but He also was the Son of God born of a virgin. One human that NEVER sinned, yet he died for us sinners undeserving yet saved by the grace of God.
I want to say one thing more. If you readers think that most believe what I have written, you are mistaken. It is sad to say, but I have been attacked for believing in God, of course, on Facebook. Facebook has its good and bad, but this is unusual. I do not encounter it often. I want to say, “Stand up for the Lord and your beliefs in Him.” He has done everything for us – it is sad these people do not know Him. They think he is not real and say the bible was written by man. All I can do is stand up for Him, praise Him and pray for the lost.
Now a little bit on the escapades of our newest celebrity – Bandit Seaton. He is Billy Joe Seaton’s new furbaby. He is so cute and a busy little thing. Recently, he had to check out his surroundings again and watch the goats. I am sure he smells something new on every outing. Friday night, BJ was taking a shower, and all of a sudden, he had a visitor. Bandit just had to see what all that water was about. Well, he found out. He got a bath, and they both were dried off. Now there are more towels to wash. On Thursday, as good parents do, BJ took Bandit to the vet for his health check, and I know he loved it. Bandit got a shot, was checked for worms and got a heartworm pill and a flea/tick pill. He sure set his daddy back a few bucks. BJ had a halter to put on Bandit for safety and thought it would be sufficient, but the joke was on him. Bandit chewed it off. Now, he will get a collar. When he has gotten into all he can and his daddy has worn out, he rested his head so sweetly next to his daddy’s arms…I know he was dreaming sweet dreams of things he can do the next outing. Until next week, Bandit says, “Woof! Woof!”

“Real” by Diane Ranker Riesen – “I want to show my ‘gratefulness’ on days when I am lost/I want to praise God everyday…His Love is worth the cost/I want to show the strength He gives when I am filled with pain/and be content on days I feel my heart is full of ‘rain’/He’s there for me through everything – and I should do the same/I want to smile and pray to Him…and sing His mighty name/For God stays right here with me – no matter how I feel/I want to keep reminding Him – I KNOW that He is real/He stands so firmly by me and helps me every day/He guides me where I need to be; and walks me on the way/Thank You, God for all Your love – I cherish all Your Powers/and can’t imagine life without You by me every hour!!!”
I pray you all have a wonderful week, and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. We are not answering numbers we do not recognize due to the high number of robocalls. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but are hungry for news from home.

Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
