Hello everyone. I hope you are all well and had a good week. I know this staying at home is getting tiring to many, but I know it is necessary, and as long as people are getting the virus, I want to steer clear of as many people as possible. The weather was been nice last week. We enjoyed being outside. The forecast was calling for storms and very bad weather in the deep south on Sunday. I hope and pray they did not have tornadoes. We have been very blessed. It is still terrible that middle Tennessee was hit by a tornado and this coronovirus pandemic is active. We need to still pray for their recovery. I am still missing church but am very cautious about anything going back to normal too soon. I do not think we will have normal again; we will have a new normal.
We were very blessed to have a friend come over and plow us up a small garden plot. We plan on putting out tomatoes, okra, corn, peppers, squash, watermelons and cantaloupes. I sure hope it is productive. This will be our second one to put out. I read on the internet about planting okra and corn. Our corn did not do good the first time. My dad had a green thumb. I remember us helping him get it planted. He had plenty and shared with neighbors. I am hoping this will be the same for us. We both take joy in watching things grow. We did take a drive out to Sweetlips Nursery. She has some very nice plants and varieties to choose from. We also got a few flowers and some seeds. Now, when the rain stops, we will plant. I looked at the weather forecast, and it does not look like we are going to have very cold nights anymore.
Well, it seems that Billy Joe’s furbaby Bandit is continuing to be a busy, interesting little fellow. When his dad was filling the bird feeders, Bandit decided to try eating some. BJ is now wondering if Bandit is a bird dog. LOL. Bandit loves to ride with his daddy. He is wondering how he will handle traveling when hot weather comes, but they will work it out. Bandit is a very good boy. He loves his daddy and is in “hog heaven” when he can just lay by BJ. Bandit brings much joy and companionship to his owner. Bandit says, “Until next week, woof-woof.” I know we never had an inside pet until sometime after Nick died. Our first was a little black poodle named Snickers. Precious. Then, we got him a friend. We got another poodle; her name was Sophie. Snickers died at age 10 from spleen cancer, and Sophie died at 12 from renal failure. We now have a toy poodle named Pepper. He is such a joy. All of them have been. We went from a busy house to a quiet house. As the years have passed, I now know they have been/are therapy pets. I do not see how anyone could be lonesome with a dog. I am very thankful

Also, please pray for our military, law enforcement, our country and its leaders, all those affected by the coronovirus and the first responders. There are many sick and hurting. Please say a prayer for those. Even if you do not know their name, God does.
This week, I am leaving a recipe for those who are trying to think of what else they can cook. Sausage and cheese muffins: you will need one cup bisquick mix, four beaten eggs, one-half teaspoon salt (less if you wish), one cup shredded cheddar cheese and one-half pound ground sausage. Mix altogether, and put in sprayed muffin tin. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min. Hubby and son really enjoyed.
Suncatchers – fun for the kids and mom: layer plastic beads in cake pans (no lining required), melt at 400 degrees for 20 min. Let cool. Then, just flip them out. Someone will need to drill a hole in it to hang it from. Makes a beautiful suncatcher and easy memories to be made.
