Hello to everyone! I hope you have had a good week. The sun was shining, and the sky was a beautiful blue-gray Saturday. The temperature was in the 90s.
Our garden is growing. Yay! We have a lot of tomatoes coming in as well as zucchini, crooked neck squash and red, yellow and green bell peppers. We have now purchased a soaker hose. Our flowers are happy and so are we. It brightens our days to results from our efforts. The birds are loving being fed. I bet they will love this birdbath, too, with this HOT weather. The weather next week should be in the 80s with rain on and off.
I hope all the fathers had a good Father’s Day. I know there are those that have lost children, and it brings a sadness others can not relate to unless they, too, have experienced it. We will see them again. We still have a son and grandchildren to be thankful for. God will help carry us along this journey. God bless.
Rachel Ellington is home after a visit last week with her daughter Sherry Utley and her family. Sarah played two days in a golf tournament and placed second. Rachel stayed through Thursday for Connor’s 20th birthday. Friday, it was back to reality at home. She enjoys visiting all her family and is thankful to be able to enjoy these things. God is good ALL the time.
I have read that Kristen Daniel is now at Lebonheur. I read ICU, but that is an improvement over Trauma ICU. They are saying she is slowly and steadily improving. Praise the Lord.
Thanks so much to a friend that sent James a Father’s Day card. You are such a thoughtful person with a very good heart.
Happy birthday to Myra McKinley, 6-24; Jackson Sanford, 6-26; and Hope Butler and Jaxson Richardson, 6-27.

“The Waiting” by Diane Ranker Riesen – “Sometimes the “wait” seems endless/and each day is far too long/I want the problem solved right now/but everything seems wrong/Problems seem relentless/with no solution in sight/I want so bad to fix it/and I want to make it right/But that’s not how the world works/and I have to trust God’s plan/I need to lift it all in prayer/and know God understands/Deep in my soul I know it’s true/but my ‘human’ side gets weak/and I falter in my faithfulness/when things get really bleak/But what a comfort knowing/that God is always close/And He can understand my faults/just when I need Him most/In God’s time everything will change/and in His arms…I’ll wait/He’s known before the earth began/He’s always known each fate.”
I pray you all have a wonderful week, and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. We are not answering numbers we do not recognize due to the high number of robocalls. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
I hope you have a great week and stay cool.

Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
