Hello to all! I hope you are enjoying a new week. Boy, this past week has been a rough one, right? I hope no one fell and broke a hip or had any bad wrecks. Of course, there is no good wreck. I was really wanting snow and we got it. YAY!
The beauty of the white perfection falling and covering nature was mesmerizing. It seems we had snow more often when I was young. I am sure many kids and kids at heart enjoyed playing in the snow, but the temperatures were bone chilling. We can all expect higher energy bills next month, and sadly, some will have shorter paychecks due to loss of work from this winter storm. Somehow, by the grace of God, we make it and life goes on.
Our birds were eating from morning until late afternoon. I guess to have enough energy to get through the night. Hopefully, this will be the last of this winter’s freezing with ice and snow. We did have snow cream.
Please pray for those in Texas and Jackson, Miss. These people were hit hard by the storm and are without water, heat and electricity. It is heartwarming to see the news showing kind hearted people helping these others affected by the winter storm. God bless those affected and those that helped.
We had a wonderful visit with Jeremy and his family Saturday afternoon. I sure understand now how my mother felt when we visited on Sunday afternoons. I used to talk to my mother every day at least once, but I sure can see how a physical visit from your children and their family brightens a day. Something to look forward to. Of course, Braxton is as tall as his dad now and is a sweet boy. He can just make funny faces at Laiken, and she smiles. I heard her laugh a little, and she turned from her back to her stomach very well. She is four months old as of Feb. 21. She watches everything and enjoys her activity mat. She is using her hands very well. Braxton, a typical teenager, slept most of the time. I just looked around the room taking in the enjoyment of our little family. Thankfulness for sure.
I pray you all have a wonderful week, and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings.
Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
