Hello to everyone! Today is Sunday, May 15; it is sunny, and the sky is blue. Our birds are continuing to visit but not a steady stream. I guess that is good as we will not have to buy seeds sooner. Mosquitoes and flies are out – yuck! There is a very slight breeze noted. We have bluebirds that have built a nest in a birdhouse, and our small yellow bird has made one on the back deck. We have planted a few things in pots but not much. There is no rain in the forecast until Saturday – 40% at the time of this writing. Temperatures should hit 90 around Wednesday. The storm blew through last night leaving us with a gorgeous, orange sky. A new treat for us to observe – compliments of God. This was due to the Blood Moon.
Watch for ticks while you are out and about. I have been sick this week and am now on antibiotics due to a tick bite. Please be careful and have others check where you can not. Better to be safe than sorry.
Congratulations to Lindsay and Justin Bishop on the arrival of their son Weston Wiley. He was born on May 13, 2022 weighing seven pounds, 11 ounces. We wish them much joy, great health and following God’s directions throughout life. Very happy for you all.
The cemeteries looked very pretty last week. I truly hope and pray that no one violates another loved ones sacred space and steals from the gravesite. It is beyond me how others can do the things they do. Things put at gravesites are gifts from loved ones and means nothing to the one who removes them. It is like, “Oh, I like that. I will take that home to so and so or for myself.” One day it will be different when it is their loved one.
I did not attend church Sunday due to feeling very bad from a tick bite, but I did watch it live on Facebook. The sermon was great and was from Ephesians 3, an effective model for How to Pray for Graduates. It, of course, was very true and good at any time. I pray all the graduates have a safe, happy and productive journey in life. Always try and do as God would want you to, and you will be alright. Also, remember that we are not perfect. God knows and forgives. Just ask Him. God bless.
Happy birthday to Morgan Williams, 5-16; Misti Ellis, Logan Butler and Lavelle Page, 5-17; and Carlis McGhee and Tina Williams, 5-18.
Happy anniversary to Marla and Damon Newman, 5-18.
Please continue to remember these in prayer Randy Baker, Sheila Berry, Joe Bingham, Marie Bishop, Robert and Joyce Brewer, Beverly Butler, J.T. and Jeanette Butler, John Butler, Jackie Chambers, Vickie Ellis, Maryann Lackie, Anita and Larry Lambert, Andy Maness, Billy Maness, Willadean Maness Thrasher, LaVelle Page, Joe Priddy, Pam Priddy, Jesse Pugh, Todd Rencher, Jake Richardson, Kristi Taylor, David Tucker, Tony Tucker and Adam Wise. Also, please pray for our military, law enforcement, our country and its leaders and first responders. There are many sick and hurting. Please say a prayer; even if you do not know their name, God does. Prayer is not an obligation; it is the greatest privilege we have. Pray yourself through each day.
“The older I get, the more I understand that it’s okay to live a life that others don’t understand.” – unknown.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
