Get in the holiday spirit at 10 a.m. Dec. 5. The town will gather to decorate the city park for Christmas. Refreshments will be provided and all help is welcome!
Speed bumps will be installed soon in the city segments of Firetower Road and Silerton Road.
Thanks to everyone who voted this year. The unofficial election results from the Nov. 3 municipal elections are as follows:
Willard Beshires was elected mayor for his second term. City aldermen will be Frankie Lambert, Gail Mayfield, Bobby Naylor, Stan Rush and Rickey Wilson.
The Silerton Fire Department will be holding its annual bake sale this year on Dec. 18 but will be conducting business a little differently. Donna Waldrip will be taking orders through Dec. 5. Ms. Donna’s contact number is 731-658-7889. You may pick up your orders at the fire station on Dec. 18. The ladies will be filling orders from 9 a.m. until all orders are filled. Support for the fire station is greatly appreciated!
