Spring can not come soon enough! The snow and ice passed, and now Silerton has become monsoon country. Once the puddles dry up maybe we will start seeing lawn mowers again. If you would like to see some photos from around the county of our recent snow, readers can visit the Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce website. One of the photos includes a nice shot of our city hall.
Kevin, Otto and I decided to leave the winter behind early and take a trip to Biloxi, Miss. This was Otto’s first time visiting the beach. He loved the waves and running in the sand. We also visited Pensacola Beach and drove through the Gulf Islands National Seashore to Navarre Beach.
If you enjoy sand dunes and the more wild seashore views, I highly recommend this scenic drive. Later in the trip, we enjoyed a seafood lunch at Shaggy’s. If you like fried green tomatoes, a visit to Shaggy’s is a must!
I would love to hear what others are planning to do in the spring. If you have travel news or something interesting to share I would be delighted to include it in an article.
