Hoping everyone in Silerton is doing well this week! A big shout out goes to Mary Lynn Lambert for providing this week’s news.
Prayer requests are needed for Walter Cooper who is now residing at the Henderson nursing home. Gwen Lindley and Pastor Crouthers are recovering from recent surgical procedures.
Silerton Baptist church hosted a hotdog and hamburger cookout on July 17. Homemade ice cream was served along with various desserts.
In travel news Frankie and Mary Lynn Lambert traveled to black mountain North Carolina to spend the day with their granddaughter, Merry Ashlyn Gatewood. They enjoyed a delicious breakfast at a local diner eating on the side porch with a great Mountain View. They toured the Biltmore mansion and garden. They finished the day by driving to Lake Lure and enjoyed their evening meal seated on the deck overlooking the lake. Merry Ashlyn is working this summer as a counselor at Merri Mac camp for girls.
