Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week. I hope everyone had a fun and safe Labor Day weekend and got to spend it with family and friends.
Patriot Day is Saturday, Sept. 11. In the United States, Patriot Day is a day in memory of the people killed in the Sept. 11, 2021 attacks. There are ceremonies and activities of remembrance. Flags should be displayed at half-staff in honor of these individuals from sunrise to sundown.
Grandparents Day is Sunday, Sept. 12. It is celebrated to show the bond between grandparents and grandchildren. It is an official national holiday, signed by President Carter in 1978 and is celebrated on the first Sunday after Labor Day. I hope if you still have your grandparents. You can visit or call them on their special day.
Happy birthday to Jasper Weeks on Sept. 10, Glenda Rickman on Sept. 13 and April Collins (our daughter) and Sherry Smith Kendall on Sept. 15. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Pray for Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Gail Durbin, Genny Sue Martin, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Jimmy Robertson, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Roy Middleton, Jo Marie Holmes, Mitch Maness, Tim Harris, Shirley Hampton, Roger Henson, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military and schools and, as always, each other.
If you have news, call me at 688-5129, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125. Have a blessed week everyone!
