NONA JEAN ANDERSON Obituary – Aug. 16, 1930 – Dec. 8, 2020

Nona Jean Hopper Anderson, 90, of Jacks Creek passed away Dec. 8, 2020 at the Northbrooke Healthcare in Jackson. Graveside services were 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at Chester County Memory Gardens with Bro. Dwight Jones officiating.
She was born Aug. 16, 1930 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Leonard Sidney and Vesta Hensley Hopper. She attended school at New Friendship, and in 1951, she married Joe Robert Anderson. They made their home in the Jacks Creek Community. She was employed by Salant & Salant in Lexington from 1962 until 1981. She was employed at Jacks Creek School in the cafeteria for many years and retired in 1991. Mr. Anderson passed in 2009. She was a member of the Bear Creek United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a granddaughter, Kristy (Chip) Sherrod of Henderson, and a son-in-law, Jimmy Dyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter, Debbie Dyer (2000).
