PAUL NOLES Obituary – Jan. 12, 1937 – Feb. 11, 2023

Paul Richard Noles, 86, passed away Feb. 11, 2023. Visitation was at Shackelford  Crook Avenue from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15. Graveside services followed at 2:45 p.m. at Estes Cemetery. In lieu of flowers he desired that contributions be made to Henderson Church of Christ Foreign Missions Fund.
He was born Jan. 12, 1937, the son of  Roscoe Franklin and Emily Betty Eslick Noles. He grew up helping his parents on their small farm. He graduated from Lynchburg High School in 1956 and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1961 with a degree in Industrial Arts and Mathematics. He married Billie Jo Shelley in 1960. They made their home in Winchester, and he worked  for Arnold Engineering Development Center for 29 years, testing aircraft, missiles and rockets in aerospace development.
He preached at Decherd Church of Christ and then full time at New Brick Church of Christ for 21 years where he loved the members, and they loved him and his family.
After moving to Henderson in 2001, they were part of the Henderson Church of Christ family and enjoyed watching FHU basketball. He continued to preach, filling in at area churches. He loved to fish, especially with his son, Paul. He was well loved by his family and friends and will always be remembered for the intentional kindness that he showed to others, an exceptional knowledge of scripture, faithfulness to God, his ability to speak the truth in love, and his humility.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Noles; two sons, Paul Noles and Joe (Ramay) Noles; five grandchildren, Amber, Emily, Luke, Ella and Emma; and one sister, Shirley Kanaak.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mildred Morris; and two brothers, Jasper and Newton.
