Ray Mullins bound over, bond reduced

Ray Mullins appeared in Chester County General Sessions Court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing in the Oct. 13 shooting of his then-girlfriend Samantha Melendez.
Witnesses detailed the day’s events, and the following investigation. Testimonies were given by representatives from the Chester County Sheriff’s Department and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, who explained why Mullins had been charged in Melendez’s death. “His statements, as it turned out, were not consistent with the facts as we saw them,” said TBI Special Agent Mike Parsons.
Mullins was bound over to the action of the Grand Jury.
Bond was reduced to $150,000.
