Retirement/Ribbon Cutting held at Phelps Eye Care in Henderson

Phelps Eye Care, 138 S. Washington Ave. in Henderson, welcomed Chamber of Commerce officials and community members to a ribbon cutting Friday, July 12, as well as a retirement reception for Dr. Larry Bloomingburg. Dr. Adam Phelps Eye Care is open 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. until noon on Friday. They may be reached by phone at 989-3511. Dr. Phelps obtained a bachelors degree in Biology from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, and went on to complete his doctorate at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. His particular areas of interest in patient care include the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, dry eyes and eye injuries.
