ROBERT FLATT Obituary – Oct. 4, 1956 – Oct. 13, 2020

Robert Earl Flatt, 64, of Henderson passed away Oct. 13, 2020 at his home.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Eugene Davis officiating.
Burial followed in Lebanon Cemetery at Saltillo. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday.
He was born Oct. 4, 1956 in Masseyville in Chester County, the son of the late Leonard Andrew and Lois Presley Flatt. He attended schools in McNairy County.
He had done factory work in his earlier years. He married Betty Louise Tidwell on March 15, 1991, and they made their home in Henderson. He worked mostly as a carpenter in home construction. He loved to fish and spend time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Tidwell Flatt of Henderson; three daughters, Tracy (Randy) Killough of Jackson, Christy (Jackie) Gilliam of Henderson and Kim Elway of Henderson; a son, Roy (Trish) Flatt of Harrisburg, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Jason Taylor, Samantha (Jacob) Mosier, Brittany Pruett, Jared Gilliam, Brandon Pruett, Faith Taylor, Landon Taylor, Macie Elway, Hayley Gilliam and Ryan Flatt; three great-grandchildren, James Taylor, Jayce Mosier and Chloe Pruett; six brothers, Thomas Flatt, Roy Flatt, Glynn Flatt, Lee Flatt, James Flatt and Johnnie Flatt; and four sisters, Maudie Britt, Lillian Hatch, Dee Vandiver and Sue Rowland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Betty Johnson and Audrey Mooney.
