RUSSELL CUPPLES Obituary – Jan. 28, 1961 – June 27, 2021

Russell Dewayne Cupples, 60, of Jackson passed away June 27, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Anthony Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in Henderson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 5-9 p.m. on Friday.
He was born Jan. 28, 1961 in Jackson, the son of the late William ‘Bill’ and Jackie Sue Cupples Taylor. He served two years in Kentucky National Guard in Owensboro, Ky. He worked as a commercial construction painter, during his working career. He worked for Ornamental Iron in Jackson for the last several years.
He loved off-roading in four wheel drive trucks and four wheelers and also boating. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Christopher Cupples of Owensboro, Ky.; one daughter, Jennifer (David) Cupples Fraysure of Owensboro, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, Shaolin Dru Cupples, Caleb Michael, Bioncee Denali Haynes, Orion Dawn Haynes, Mkai Dane Raley, Kharis Denis, Luke May, Lennon James Cupples and Laurel Ann Cupples; two great-grandchildren, Kayzleigh Alianna Over-Ramirez and baby girl Cupples Young; two brothers, Tommy Cupples of Jackson and Keith (Lisa) Taylor of Owensboro, Ky.; a sister, Janet (Jimmy) Stout of Henderson; stepmother, Louise King Taylor of Henderson; and a longtime companion, Judy Whitt.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Michelle Taylor, Patricia Cupples and Cheletta Taylor.
