SHARON WAMBLE – Jan. 24, 1947 – March 30, 2024

Sharon Jean Jones Wamble, 77, of Finger passed away March 30, 2024, at Adamsville Healthcare. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Glenn Harris and Jeff Clayton officiating. Burial followed at Old Friendship Cemetery. The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Crook Avenue.
She was born Jan. 24, 1947, in Henderson and grew up in the Old Friendship Community, the daughter of the late Travis Edward Jones and Theresa Fearn Jones Langlinais. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1965. She married Floyd Wamble on March 21, 1964. They made their home in the Old Friendship Community.
She worked at Brown Shoe Company and worked in a store her mother owned. She treasured her work at East Chester Elementary as a teacher’s aide for first grade.
She worked for M & L Construction for Mr. Langlinais. She then went to cosmetology school and worked the rest of her career as a manicurist at Emily’s Nail Salon, right beside Stephanie.
Mr. Wamble passed away in 2021, and she made her home with Stephanie after Floyd’s death.
She was a member of the Old Friendship Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Jeff) Wamble Clayton of Finger; two sons, Bart Wamble of North Dakota and Chad Wamble of Milan; five grandchildren, Rusty (Laura) Wamble, Rhett (Kristi) Woody, Hayden (Melissa) Clayton, Courtni (Harrison) Woody and Sophi (Blaine) Wamble; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Randall Jones of Finger and Larry Langlinais of Montezuma; and two sisters, Pamela Cooper of Montezuma and Diane Jones of Finger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Larry Langlinais; a brother, Rory Jones; and two grandchildren, Chasity (Jay) Thomas and Reed (Caitlin) Wamble.
