Sheila Lynn Carter, 58, of Jackson passed away Oct. 4, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. There are no services scheduled at this time.
She was born Nov. 13, 1962 in Jackson, the daughter of Jerry and Doris Langford Dunagan. She grew up in Jackson and attended Jackson Central Merry High School. She attended West Tennessee Business College, in Jackson earning a certificate in computer data entry. She worked for Midsouth Textile for many years. She enjoyed flower gardening and working in the yard. She also loved fishing. She was a member of the Decaturville Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her parents, Jerry and Doris Dunagan of Henderson; a son, David Hathcote, Jr. of Pinson; one daughter, Kishia (Trent) Harris of Finger; three grandchildren, Bryan Black, Jr., Cade Harris and Bella Black; a brother, Douglas (Michelle) Carter, Jr. of Jacks Creek; and one sister, Sherry (Tommy) Franklin of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Nyla Hathcote.
