Eighty-one descendants of Mr. and Mrs. Clay Lambert came to Silerton for their annual Labor Day Weekend reunion. Family members from Indiana, Illinois, Mississippi and Florida were able to attend. On Friday night, some members of the family gathered at the Old Country Store Restaurant to start the celebration. On Saturday afternoon, the family gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frankie Lambert for a hamburger and hotdog cookout. Bryan Howell, an Elvis Presley impersonator, entertained the family with a performance. On Sunday, the family enjoyed a potluck meal at the home of Barbara Lambert. After the meal, softball players lined up to be chosen for teams. Players ranged from age five to 77 and included both males and females. Players had a great time and family members had many laughs. It was certainly a weekend for memories and enjoyment.
