Lots of interesting travel news this week! Mary Lynn Lambert shared with me several folks’ exciting travels.
“Betty and Ed enjoyed a short visit with Carolyn and Grady stack on Friday, Oct. 28. They had traveled from Huntsville, Ala., to attend the Burnett family fall get-together at Pinson Mounds State Park.
“Frankie and Mary Lynn Lambert enjoyed a trip to Fort Walton Beach, Fla., to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary on October 21. On the way back, they stopped for an overnight visit at Cheaha State Park in Delta, Ala., the highest point in the state of Alabama. They also enjoyed touring the Medal of Honor museum in Chattanooga.
“Grady and Carolyn stack recently enjoyed a week of camping at Pickwick.”
Kevin and I recently took a trip with the kids to Seattle, Wash., and to Oregon to visit family and sight see! We got to eat some delicious pastries at the Pike Place Market, and the kids enjoyed going to a discovery museum. Some Oregon highlights were Multnomah Falls and seeing the Oregon Coast. For any Goonies fans out there, it was also neat seeing the Goonies house in Astoria.
Condolences to the family of Imogene Hopper Shearin. She was reared in Silerton by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Hopper.
Continue to pray for Bill Siler and his family as he continues his recovery at home.
