The time of year again has come again. Friends and families across Henderson/ Chester County will be able to enjoy the floats, decorative lights and more at the Henderson Christmas Parade at 7 p.m. tonight, Dec. 5.
The parade will begin at Jack’s Restaurant near the high school, go over the bridge and end at the four-way stop of North Church Ave. and Main Street.
At least 13 floats are expected along with 40 other entries that will take part in the parade.
Awards for parade participants this year include: Best Overall Float, Civic Award, Religious Award and the Best Performance.
Candy will be thrown out to children at the end of the parade.
Before the parade, Chester County will have The Second Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:30 p.m. on the Chester County Courthouse lawn. Santa and The Grinch will be there to take pictures. The event will also have a choir and free chocolate.
People should plan not to park downtown this evening or have vehicles off the street when police start to clear the roadway. The police will have the streets completely shutdown by 6:50 p.m.
