Over the past couple weeks the Eagles have scrimmaged against the University School of Jackson and Jackson Central Merry to find what they need to work on before the season starts against Trinity Christian Academy at home on August 23.
The Eagles looked good against USJ on August 2 but seemed to struggle against JCM.
The Chester County Junior High Football team started their season with a huge victory over Decatur, 44-8, on Thursday.
“Huge back and big lineman. (Decatur) always is a tough team, especially up front,” CCJHS Head Coach Chad Hanna said. “Kind of out sized us. Made some big plays, especially on defense. Had two returns on defense, a pick six by Iziah Armstrong and a strip for touchdown by JSean Austin, and almost had a third on an onside kick by Hunter Hurst to put us in good position for another score.”

Chester County Junior High Eaglettes Softball faced off versus Ramer last Thursday with an ending score of 10-6..
The Eaglettes bounced back this week with a win over the University School of Jackson in extra innings. The final score was 5-1.
Friday night lights begin this Friday for Chester County High School at Eagles Stadium in a matchup versus Trinity Christian Academy.
This past week they faced off against Adamsville during the jamboree at home. The junior varsity team was able to score and win 7-0 in their quarter of play. Varsity, on the other hand, had a tough time on the field against the Cardinals in their quarter of play and lost 14-0.
With the return of Friday Night Lights, Eagle stadium was packed and full of sound as Eagles fans were ready to see what the Eagles Football team could do this year.
With the final score of 14-10 for the win, the Eagles did not let their friends and family down in the season-opener versus Trinity Christian Academy.
The Lady Eagles Volleyball sits at 2-1 in their district following a road win over Scotts Hill on Monday, 2-1.
Over the weekend during the Freed-Hardeman University Volleyball Tournament, the Lady Eagles made it to the silver bracket and fell to South Side.
