FHU Makin’ Music begins Friday

Freed-Hardeman University students are tuning up and stepping into the spotlight as Makin’ Music 2025, “Rhythm in Our Roots,” prepares to take center stage in Dryden Auditorium this weekend. Tickets are now on sale for the 48th annual musical showcase, with performances Friday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 12, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for Friday night, $30 for Saturday’s matinee and $35 for the Saturday night show and may be purchased at fhu.edu/makinmusic. 
Friday morning, April 11, weekend visitors are welcome to attend a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the new Jones Family Dining Hall and Chick-fil-A. The ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. in front of the new dining hall. 
Prospective FHU students also will get the chance to experience campus life during Maroon & Gold Day Friday, April 11. Registration for all admissions hosted events, including Maroon & Gold Days and group tours, are available at fhu.edu/visitcampus. 
On Saturday, the campus will host Party on the Green from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Bader Green in the center of campus. The event will welcome guests with food trucks, inflatable jumpers, a photo booth and a cast member parade at 6:50 p.m. In addition, members of the FHU Associates will be on hand to sell FH Brews and teas as well as Sunshine Boxes, which will be distributed to current students during finals week.
