Hello to everyone reading this paper. It is always a blessing to be part of your life. Why? Because you are my family and friends and because this is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it! I hope and pray that you will have a great week.
The family and I had a wonderful time this Holy Week, and Easter is on Sunday. I do not know how many of you saw how beautiful the sky was when the sun was rising in the cloudy sky. I looked toward Heaven and said to the Father, “Our Father who is in Heaven, thank You for allowing your Son to come on this earth to die for our sins and for raising Him from the dead so we can have salvation. You are an awesome God! And I/we love You!”
Can you believe we only have 13 days remaining in this month? The month of May will be here before we know it, and the class of 2025 will be getting ready for graduation WOW! It does not seem real.
April 15 was Tax Day! Tax is a bad word for some of us, especially when you have to give your hard-earned money back to Uncle SAM! Then, there are others who will receive a HAPPY check! No matter which category we may fall in, always remember we are blessed!
Well, the Lord has called another loved one home! Condolences go to the family of Mrs. Mary Armstrong, a very kind, sweet and loving person. Every time I saw her, she always had a smile on her face. Mary loved her children, grandchildren and her family. She was kind to all the people who applied for assistance from SWHRA! She did not look down upon a person and treated everyone the same. Mary had some stories she could tell you. Mary is not here in body with us anymore; she is gone but not forgotten. We pray that the Lord will give you strength in the season of your life! Services for Mary are at noon Saturday, April 19, at Oak Grove Church of Christ. Family time is from 10 a.m.-noon.

The city would like to take this time to wish all our loved ones in the Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center who had a birthday this week a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I will leave you with this prayer: God, our Father, there is so much in this world that wants our attention and affections. Help us to guard our hearts from the time-traps and temptations. Show us what’s best and give us the courage to release the rest. Free us from stress, worry, and striving. We choose to love You above all else. Amen!
