Hello to all from this little corner of the world. Sunday was a beautiful day with blue skies and white clouds. It was 77 degrees at one point and windy. There is no predicted rain until later in the week, and it is minimal. I think the chance of rain increases the following week. Our azaleas are beginning to produce buds, and so is our tulip tree. Our irises are growing, but it will be a while for them. James says the blackberries are looking much better after the rain we had. He can not wait to mow, and I must say it is at the point of needing it. The amount of rain we had required some drying out time. We had approximately 14 inches of rain.
We were invited to my sister’s house for a little get-together for an Easter egg hunt. Kathy has three little granddaughters; two of them are old enough to hunt eggs, and the youngest is nine months. Laiken had a ball hunting eggs and playing with her cousins. They are all adorable little blessings.
There will be an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 20, during Children’s Church at Friendship Baptist Church. Please come and enjoy learning about the Lord and bring your children. They learn so much in Children’s Church.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones.
Happy birthday to John Thomas Wells, 4-12; Bristen Matheney, 4-13; Josh Fahs, 4-16; and Estelle Jones, 4-18.

“Steppingstones” by Helen Steiner Rice – “Think not that life has been unfair/and given you too much to bear/For God has chosen you because/with all your weaknesses and flaws/He feels that you are worthy of/the greatness of His wondrous love/Welcome every stumbling block/and every thorn and jagged rock/For each one is a steppingstone/to a fuller life than we’ve ever known/and in the radiance of God’s smiles/we learn to soar about life’s trials/and as we grow in strength and grace/The clearer we can see God’s face.”
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home. Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
