Hello to all from this little corner of the world. Saturday was breezy and partly cloudy. The temperature was 64 degrees. We have planted some flowers in pots, and that will probably be about all. We do have two pepper plants and two tomato plants, as I am the only one who eats tomatoes. Thankfully, it did rain Saturday, and Sunday was nice for Mother’s Day. We put flowers on Nick’s grave Saturday as many are at this time of year. There are several Decoration Days around the county. Hotter temperatures are expected for later next week.
We were able to watch Braelyn graduate Saturday from home thanks to Memphis State University having the presentation of diplomas on YouTube. We are very proud of her. Congratulations to ALL the graduates at this time whether high school or college. I hope all your plans and dreams come true, but always remember that God is in control! Put Him first, and you will be alright!
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones.

“A Mother” by Diane Ranker Riesen : “How do I try to put into words what my mom meant to me/I can write so much about her...but, there’s much more you can’t see/It seems the older that I get I feel I miss her more/I long to have some time with her, the way it was before/For those of you remaining blessed with moms that still are here/You really can’t quite understand the pain when they’re not near/Each one of us believe that ours is truly like no other/I feel that way in certain truth...You see, she was MY mother/I know she knew I loved her, and I’m sure yours do as well/But nothing makes you understand that gift of love; until/No longer can you touch her or simply talk and share/Don’t ever waste a moment’s chance to tell her that you care/So much of me is who she was and what she taught my soul/Until I’m back again with her I’ll never be quite whole/Thank you, mom, for everything. Your love was like no other/And even with the countless hugs/I’ll always need another.”
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home. Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
