Hello from Enville! We hope you all had a great week! We can tell fall is here by the temperatures. It is cold in the mornings and evenings but warms up during the daytime hours. The leaves are changing to some beautiful colors - yellow, red, brown and orange - giving us gorgeous views. Some say you need to go to the mountains to see the beauty, but we have some nice views here at home. The mountains are breathtaking this time of year, and they are truly amazing to see.
Fall Break is in full swing this week for our Chester County Schools. I know many families are at Disney World, on cruises or on short getaways, and some are at home just enjoying a break from school. Whatever you are doing, I hope you all are having a fun and safe Fall Break!
Trick or Treat will be at the Enville Community Center at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 31. Bring your little ones and fill their pumpkins with candy in a safe environment. We love seeing all the children in their various costumes!
Happy birthday wishes go out to Deb Finley on Oct. 20, Ann Hollin on Oct. 21, Billy Canaday on Oct. 22 and Wes Hutcherson on Oct. 23. Happy Anniversary to Mike and Judy Pugh on Oct. 24. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Continue prayers for Jean Crowell, Agnes Smith, Florence Stublaski, Jo Marie Holmes, Danny and Janice Keen, Mary Lee Guyon, Christy and Linda Phillips, Neicie Pearson, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Doris Weeks, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Betty Austin, Novelee Massengill, Harold James, Baby Kohen Garrard, Tim Harris, Joan Massey, Tom Harwell, Neal Brewer, Roger and Sue Henson, everyone who has lost loved ones, the lonely and shut ins, our military and nursing home families, our firefighters and first responders, our community and, as always, each other.
Our town is still missing our community bank and the Enville cafe. I really miss seeing all my bank friends every day. It is sad that we have nowhere to see each other anymore or even meet for coffee, breakfast or lunch. It was and still is a sad day when small communities are no longer important to the bigger world.
If you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125, or if you have news to share, call me at 688-5129. Have a blessed week everyone!
