Tennessee College of Applied Technology invites the public to Coffee with a Cop on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, from 8-9:30 a.m. at TCAT Crump’s Henderson campus, 1449 White Avenue.
The purpose of this event is to foster open communication between law enforcement with the communities they serve. A cup of coffee can break down barriers and encourage positive interactions. Coffee with a Cop started at a McDonald’s restaurant in Hawthorne, California, in 2011.
This year marks the ninth annual National Coffee with a Cop Day, and the goal is to raise awareness of what local law enforcement officers are doing daily and build partnerships with the communities they serve.
“Through hosting Coffee with a Cop, TCAT Crump helps support our local law enforcement and help build positive relationships throughout the community,” said TCAT Crump President Stephen Milligan. “This simple act of a conversation over a cup of coffee allows people to talk, ask questions, or just say hello.”
