The City of Henderson experienced a wide-spread power outage Friday afternoon after a large tree fell at the intersection of White Ave. and Second St., blocking the road and disrupting power lines. Many local agencies responded quickly to alleviate the situation. According to a statement from Police Chief Gary A. Davidson, a vehicle headed south on White Ave. struck the tree; however, there were no injuries. Davidson said it took around four hours for crews to restore power and for the streets to fully reopen.
