The Chester County Independent will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Deadlines for the Jan. 23 edition of the newspaper will be 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol will conduct two sobriety checkpoints Friday, Jan. 25, 2025, on State Route 100, in Chester County. The first will begin at 9 p.m. on State Route 100, east of Talley Store Road. The second checkpoint will begin at 11 p.m. the same evening, on State Route 100, east of State Route 225. Both will conclude after one hour.
