Book Club for Adults
Meetings occur the second Thursday of the month and will be available in person or virtually. Those interested in joining the adult book club should complete the online registration form at the link below. If you do not have internet, let a staff member know that you would like to complete the adult book club registration link. Many options are available for obtaining the book. Teen Advisory Board
What is TAB? TAB (Teen Advisory Board) is a group of teens aged 12 –17 that enjoy reading and/or using the library. What do they do? Teens sit down with the library director monthly and discuss what kinds of programs, books, DVDs, and audiobooks that they would like to see at our library. At each meeting we also have an activity. Some of the activities so far have been origami bookmarks, a library scavenger hunt, and trying new foods like kimchi ramen noodles. As our group grows, we will hold an election and elect a president/vice president/treasurer-secretary. The TAB will have the opportunity in the future to hold fundraisers as well. Where do they meet? Changes to Our Website
Thanks to Lori Reeves with BrandStrength, located in Jackson, the Chester County Library Website has received a facelift! Our new website address is: chestercountylibrary.net. We would like to take this time to highlight some of the changes that will really benefit you!
• Increased usability– the website is easier to navigate, page titles are clearer, and font is bigger and designed to be easier to read for all.
• Forms to Request Services– We now have some forms available that you can complete to request services. Some of the forms available are book club sign ups, recommend materials for the library to purchase, request a mystery bag of books, sign up for technology classes, or recommend a training you would like to see the library offer.
• We have a page dedicated to recordings of several of the trainings that the library has offered. If you would like to view these in the library, please call us to schedule a computer to be reserved specifically for you to view the training videos.
• Our online catalog can quickly and easily be accessed. We also have a short tutorial video (three minutes) and a more detailed tutorial video (15 minutes) to help you get started with our catalog! You can request/put your name on the list for items, search our catalog, view the items you have out, and renew items. Don’t forget to checkout our children’s catalog!
• Visit our events page! You can view all of our events for the next two months. You even have the option of adding the event to your calendar to get a notification reminder one hour and one day before the meeting.
