September 1-September 30 – Friends of the Library Book Sale. See What’s Happening in this edition for more information!
Thursday, September 2, 2021– Library Card Sign Up Event– Come and Go Event from noon to 6 p.m. Children aged five to 17 who sign up for their FIRST library card will be entered to win some GREAT prizes! A legal parent/guardian must be present for a child under 14 years of age to obtain a library card. Parents/guardians must bring a photo ID and a piece of mail showing the current mailing address.
Monday, September 6, 2021– Closed in observance of Labor Day.
Tuesday, September 7, 2021– Story time with Mrs. Savannah at 10 a.m.
Thursday, September 9, 2021– Adult Book Club, “A Man Called Ove” Discussion at 5:30 p.m. Virtual meeting information is available.
Thursday, September 9, 2021– Jr. High School Book Club “Notes from the Dog” Discussion at 3:30 p.m. Virtual meeting information is available.

Jr. High School Book Club
This year, we will be starting up a yearly Junior High School book club! (Don’t worry, an annual high school book club will be coming soon as well). Children attending seventh or eighth grade are eligible for register for this book club. Limited space available! Registration is Required. We have 8 more spots available. The three books will be provided at no charge courtesy of a grant from Southwest Electric Community for Change Grant. Meetings dates are: Sept 9 at 3:30 p.m., Oct. 7 at 3:30 p.m., and Nov. 11 at 3:30 p.m.

Adult Book Club
The Chester County Adult Book Club will be resuming in September. Meetings will occur each second Thursday of the month and will be available in person or virtually! If you are interested in joining the adult book club, please complete our online registration form at the link below. Those who do not have internet, let a staff member know that you would like to complete the adult book club registration link.

Technology Training Courses at the Library
The Chester County has been offered a grant through the state of TN to offer technology trainings to our patrons! Upcoming trainings are listed below. Register for these great trainings at (REGISTRATION REQUIRED):
Internet Safety Training
This course will be taught by Holly Roeder. During this one hour course, you will learn tips to practice safe internet browsing with a special focus at times for senior citizens safe internet browsing and children safe internet browsing.
One Hour One-On-One Training Training
This course will be taught by library staff member Eryn Tolley. During this one hour session, you will have the opportunity to tell us what you want to learn.

Some of the sessions last year included how to browse the internet, how to use our catalog, how to set up and use an email account, how to use Microsoft Word, and more! This is a great chance for you to get one-on-one training and learn a new skill.
