CCHS Girls Tennis Team/CCHS Boys Soccer lose Spring Fling hopes

Bella Lamb and Stewart Brown ran in the 3200m race Tuesday morning. Lamb earned eigth place and Brown earned third place. Read next week’s issue to see them in some action photos along with their 1600m results.

This is the moment Chester County Eagles have been waiting for; a chance to compete at state and possibly prove that they are the best in their respective sport in the entire state of Tennessee.

Competing this week are as follows:
Tennis

  • Chester County Boys Tennis Team
    -Tennis player Austin Ketchum in Singles
  • Tennis Boys Doubles team Nathan Britt and Ethan Mullins
  • Tennis Girls Doubles Team Cecily Davis and Grace Compton
    Track and Field
  • Stewart Brown in the 1600m and 3200m
  • Bella Lamb in the 1600m and 3200m
  • Brown, Silas McManus, Dillon Williams and Garrett Robison in the 4×800
  • Hannah Rich in discus
  • Malik James in shot put
    Unfortunately, the Girls Tennis Team fell to Union City High School’s team during Sectionals in a loss of 4-2 which eliminated their state berth. That was their first and only loss of the season. As previously stated, Cecily Davis and Grace Compton will have a chance to represent the girls as a girls doubles duo.
    The Boys Soccer team was eliminated in the first round of regionals against Crockett County with a final score of 3-1.
