The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced their 2024 All-Region NAIA awards on Friday, with Alivia Eggleston, Brinley Cousar, and Karli Quillin each being honored.
Eggleston was given a spot on the Region VI first team as a designated player. The sophomore had a 1.102 OPS in the campaign, leading FHU with 12 doubles and 42 RBI.
Cousar was voted to the region’s second team as a second baseman. Her second year as a Lady Lion saw her bat .399 with 63 hits and a team-high three triples.
After breaking FHU’s single-season hits record with 85, Quillin was voted as a second team outfielder. With a perfect 1.00 fielding percentage, the sophomore led the team with a .455 batting average with scoring 45 runs.
Region VI includes fellow Mid-South Conference members Campbellsville (Ky.) University, Cumberland (Tenn.) University, and the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.).
