Wanda Pickett Obituary – Feb. 6, 1946 – Oct. 27, 2019

Wanda Lou Pickett, 73, of Henderson passed away Sunday morning at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Sweetlips Cemetery with Bobby Beecham officiating.
She was born Feb. 6, 1946 in Luray, the daughter of the late William Vester and Ruby Ancie Jones Brittain.
She married Larry Don L Pickett on July 1, 1961, and they made their home in Henderson. Larry passed away on July 12, 2009. She was a homemaker, who became a beautician when her children got older. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds. She loved celebrating birthdays and holidays and especially loved Christmas. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren to ride four wheelers and going to the huckleberry patch.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Jimmy) Tedford and Lisa (Tony) Warren, both of Henderson; three grandchildren, Tabitha (Richard) Cain, Larry Chase (Melissa) Warren and Cortney (Josh) Lott; five great-grandchildren; a brother Jimmy (Wanda Freeman) Brittain of Jackson; and a sister, Melba Seaton of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Bud and Sammy Brittain; two sisters, Betty Robinson and Irene Norwood; and a great-grandson, Gauge Don L Lott.
