Meeting March 28
The Chester County Democrats will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at Chester County City Hall, 121 Crook Ave, Henderson (second floor). Pinson Ruritan Stew
Sale March 30
The Pinson Ruritan club will have their bi-annual stew sale Saturday, March 30, at the Pinson Ruritan Building (Old Pinson School). The stew will be ready for pick up between 7:30-10 a.m. The price is $25 per gallon; please bring your container if possible. To reserve please call Becky Ellis at 731-988-5240 or 731-225-3231.
Friendship Baptist Easter Musical March 30-31
Friendship Baptist Church will present their Easter Musical, “Man of Sorrows, King of Glory,” at Friendship Baptist Church, 720 New Friendship Rd. Beech Bluff, TN 38313. The musical was created and arranged by Marty Parks. Times are at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30, and Sunday, March 31.
CC Historical Society
Meeting April 1
The Chester County Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. April 1 at the Senior Center. The evening speaker will be Ricky Long, President of The Mid-West TN Genealogy Society. His topic will be “What it means to be Scots Irish.” If you think you are Irish or a Scotsman, this program is for you. All are welcome. Come and bring a friend.
Finger Cemetery
Clean-Up Day April 13
The Finger Cemetery Clean-Up Day will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13. In case of rain, the clean-up day will be Saturday, April 20. Volunteers are encouraged to help in the clean up. Donations are needed for mowing and maintenance of the cemetery. Donations may be made at Home Banking Company or to any of the cemetery committee members.
CCHS Alumni Day June 1
The CCHS Alumni Association’s Annual Alumni Day will be held June 1 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with a meal at 11 a.m. in the CCHS cafeteria. Be watching for more information in the paper and on Alumni Association’s Facebook page.
Class of 1974 50th Reunion June 22
The Chester County High School Class of 1974 will have its 50 year class reunion on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at JL Acres, 1320 Holly Springs Rd., Henderson. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with dinner being served at 7 p.m. Cost is $50 per person and can be mailed to Bob Moore, 2435 Old Friendship Rd., Finger, TN 38334.
