Lifeline Blood Drive Jan 31
Lifeline Blood Services will hold blood drives from 1-5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at East Chester Elementary School.
Tai Chi for Beginners Feb. 10
An eight week “Tai Chi for Beginners” workshop will be offered in Henderson beginning on Feb. 10. Anyone ages 18 and up is invited to register. The registration fee is $50. Please call the UT Extension—Chester County office at 989-2103 to register or receive more information.
Financial Fridays in February
Financial Fridays are coming this February to help you increase savings, spend wisely, and plan for the future. Join UT Extension each Friday in February at 10 a.m. for a FREE Zoom. Each week will have a different topic and professional, who is an expert in that area. Registration is required weekly to receive the Zoom link. CC Head Start Pre-registration Feb. 16 and Feb. 18
The Southwest Human Resource Agency Head Start Program is now accepting applications for three and four-year-old children to attend Head Start classes beginning in Fall 2022. The Head Start Program is designed for pre-school children of low-income families who are on or under the poverty guidelines. Pre-registration in Chester County for the Chester County Head Start Center will be from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, and Friday, Feb. 18. Pre-registration will be held at the SWHRA Community Service Center located at 269 N Church St. in Henderson. For more information contact Family Care Manager Cheryl Conder at 989-5192 or 608-9102 or Susan Hemby at 608-9049. Information needed at this time includes the child’s birth certificate, immunization form, a copy of child’s TennCare/Insurance card, and Family Income Verification. Verification of income must be provided for 2021 by individual Income Tax Form 1040, W-2 Forms, Pay Stubs, and Written Statements from employers or Families First Determination.
Cookies for Cancer Fish Fry March 19
Cookies for Cancer will be hosting a Fish Fry March 19 at the Montezuma Center. Time will be noon-4 p.m. or until they run out. This is for everyone to come out and meet the candidates who are running for election this year 2022. You can pick up or dine in and get to know our candidates. Fish plates will consist of catfish, fried taters, coleslaw and hush puppies for $10.99. Grab a scoop of cobbler for $2.99 (apple, cherry or peach). Please mark this on your calendar.
