Cookies for Cancer Accepting Donations
Cookies for Cancer will be donating family food boxes on the first and third Fridays in June and July. Anyone wishing to donate can leave donations at Cash Saver. Anything would be appreciated.
CCHS Alumni Day June 4
Mark your calendars! Chester County High School Alumni Day returns June 4. Look for ad in the near future for registration and payment form.
CC Historical Society
Meeting June 6
The Chester County Historical Society will meet at the Senior Center at 7 p.m. June 6. Laquita Thomson will present “A  Federal Doctor and a Confederate Officer.” It is about a first chance meeting of the doctor and the officer in 1861 and their second meeting at Shiloh. The officer is from Bolivar. Come enjoy a great program and good friends. All are welcome.
Henderson Masonic
Meeting June 6
The June stated meeting for the Henderson Masonic Lodge will be held on Monday, June 6. The meal will begin at 6 p.m. with the meeting to follow at 7 p.m. All Masons are invited.
Finger Volunteer Fire Dept.
Fish Fry June 11
The Finger Volunteer Fire Department will hold a fish fry and barbeque chicken dinner from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, June 11. There will be all you can eat fish or chicken with all the trimmings and homemade desserts. Prices are $14 for adults, $14 for takeout, and $6 and children. All proceeds will go towards the operating expenses of the Finger Fire Dept. 
CC Retired Teachers
Meeting June 15
Chester County Retired Teachers will meet at noon on Wednesday, June 15, at Snookum’s Restaurant. The sponsor will be Peoples Bank. The service project will be donations to Imagination Library. Mike Barker with TN Consolidated Retirement System will be guest speaker. Dues need to be paid that day – lifetime members $40, others $75. Please make plans to attend. Also, invite any retired teacher, teacher assistant, administrator, staff personnel, or bus driver as a guest.
CC Democratic Party
Meeting June 16
The Chester County Democratic Party meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16. The meeting will take place upstairs in the classroom at the Henderson City Hall, 121 Crook Ave, Henderson. Members will discuss the party’s agenda/events for 2022. All Democratic residents who are eligible voters of Chester County are urged to attend.
