CC Historical Society Meeting April 3
The Chester County Historical Society will meet at the Senior Center at 7 p.m. April 3. Alice Holtin will speak on DNA and genealogy. Come join us and bring a friend.
Roby Fire Dept. Spring Fundraiser April 8
The Roby Fire Dept., 5050 Roby Rd., will host a spring fundraiser starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8. There will be barbeque chicken hamburgers and hotdogs with an Easter Egg Hunt starting at 11 a.m.
Finger Volunteer Fire Dept. Fish Fry April 8
The Finger Volunteer Fire Department will be hosing a fish fry and barbeque chicken dinner from 2-5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 8. They will serve all you can eat fish or chicken with trimmings and homemade desserts. Cost is $14 for adults and takeout and $6 for children. All proceeds will go towards the operating expenses of the Finger Fire Dept.
CCHS Automotive Fundraiser Car/Truck Show April 8
There will be a fundraiser Car/Truck Show from noon-3 p.m. at Chester County High School Saturday, April 8. Clean those rides and let’s have some fun. There will be student made trophies, peer judges and a community Easter egg hunt. Special Ultimate C10 Award! Call Mr. Carter at 662-665-1512 for more information.
Finger Cemetery Clean Up April 15
The Finger Cemetery clean up day will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15. In case of rain, the clean up day will be Saturday, April 22. Volunteers are encouraged to help in the clean up. Donations are needed for mowing and maintenance of the cemetery. Donations may be made at Home Banking Company or to any of the cemetery committee members.
Class of 1968 Reunion May 6
The Chester County High School Class of 1968 will hold their 55th class reunion on Saturday, May 6. The reunion will be held at the Brown-Kopel Business Center on the Freed-Hardeman University campus at the corner of East Main St. and Hamlett Ave. The building will open at 4 p.m. for socializing with class members before the meal at 6 p.m. The cost will be $25 per person. The deadline to register will be April 22 and payments can be made to Keith Smith at P.O. Box 146, Henderson, TN 38340.
