Chester County Library Book Sale
The Book Sale will end at noon Saturday, Feb. 29. Stop by this week to purchase DVDs for $1, VHS tapes for 25 cents, hardback books for 50 cents, paperback books for 25 cents, or a bag of books for just $3!
CC Head Start Registration
Chester County Head Start, 1495 White Ave., registration is open for 2020-2020 school year. This is a free program for three and four year olds. Items needed for application is are birth certificate, shot record, physical, child’s insurance and proof of income. Give us a call at 989-5192 and ask for Shana or Lisa.

Discover Canyon Country with Selmer Senior Center Sept. 30-Oct. 7. Highlights include the Grand Canyon, Scottsdale, Kaibab National Forest, Bryce Canyon National Park, Lake Powell and much more. TN SHIP Medicare Presentation Feb. 27
On Thursday, Feb. 27, at 5 p.m., a representative from TN SHIP will be giving a presentation, “The ABC’s of Medicare” at the library. All members of the public are welcome to join.
Project Graduation Pancake Breakfast Feb. 29
Project Graduation will host a pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at the Chester County High School cafeteria. Cost is $7 and includes pancakes, sausage and a drink. Dine-in and take out options are available.
CC Historical Society Meeting March 2
The Chester County Historical Society will meet March 2 at 7 p.m. at the Senior Center. Our speaker will be Savannah Gilbert. She is the new Library  Director and will be discussing her goals for the library. Come join us.
Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards and Membership Banquet March 3
The Henderson|Chester County Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards and Membership Banquet is Tuesday, March 3, at 6 p.m. at Chester County Junior High School Gymnasium.  Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased at the chamber office located at 111 E Main Street or by calling 989-5222. 
Chester County Democratic Convention March 7
Any and all registered Democrats in Chester County are invited to the Chester County Convention at 11 a.m. March 7 located at the Henderson City Hall, 121 Crook Ave. Visit TNDP.org for more information. Door will open at 10:30 a.m.
Beekeeping Short Course March 7
The Jackson Area Beekeepers Association, Inc. will hold their annual Beekeeping Short Course at the Madison County UT Extension Auditorium, 309 N. Parkway, Jackson, on Saturday, March 7.  Registration will be from 8:30-9 a.m. Class will end about 4 p.m. The Short Course is opened to anyone interested in bees and beekeeping. Classes will be geared toward introducing the new beekeeper to beekeeping. Registration fee $15 single and $20 family. Registration fee includes the Short Course, lunch and membership to the Jackson Area Beekeepers Association.  No reservation required! Chester County Republican Party Meeting March 16
The next quarterly meeting of the Chester County Republican Party is scheduled for Monday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. at Henderson City Hall. The Party will hold its biannual County Convention (Caucus) for all Chester County positions that will be up for election in 2020. This County Convention (Caucus) takes the place of conducting a primary election for Republican candidates for Chester County elected officials. For this year the only position up for election in 2020 is that of County Tax Assessor, presently held by Ms. Beverly Morton.
